Bitcoin Twitches Under August CPI’s Gaze 🕸️💀

Bitcoin just took another spooky lil dive rn after the US Bureau of Labor Stats unleashed that August CPI data and it matched what everyone kinda predicted fr 👀📉.

The regular CPI came in at a 3.4% year-over-year bump exactly as anticipated while the monthly rise hit 0.4% too 🖤.

Core CPI excluding the wild food and energy stuff jumped 2.4% YoY but the monthly bit was a tiny surprise at 0.3% instead of the 0.2% folks expected 💀🔮.

BTC reacted in true chaotic fashion by dumping a whole grand right after the news hit but clawed back up above 77000 as of now 🌙💸.

This marks the second inflation drop this week following yesterdays PPI release that showed a bigger 5.4% surge 🚀.

With all the inflation tea spilled for the week everyones sinister little eyes are locked on the US Federal Reserve now for their next FOMC meeting on September 15-16 where the rate decision drops the day after 😈🕸️.

Current vibes point to experts betting on a 25 bps rate hike lol.

Pons keeps sinking as btc slips back to 78k right before the first us inflation data market watch 🕷️🌑

BTC dipped toward $78k rn after getting rejected at $80k just hours before all those big macro events kick off this week 😈. The alt scene followed right along with some heavy hits on BNB, DOGE, XLM, LINK, UNI, CRO n more.

BTC Slides Back to $78K 🖤

The main coin had a wild close to last week when it hit over $76.8k by Wednesday but the bulls jumped in hard. Instead of more dumping it blasted up several grand in under a day n crossed $82.4k for the first time in over three months 📉.

It couldnt hold the push tho n fell back to $81k fast. That stronger than expected US jobs report just added fuel to the selloff on Friday so BTC dropped to $78.8k 💸. Over the weekend it bounced n even tried charging $80k Monday morning only to get stopped again. The rejection rolled slow n hit a low of $77.6k by Tuesday. The rebound stalled at $79.6k n now its fighting around $78k with PPI dropping today n CPI next. Market cap sits calm at $1.560 trillion while dominance on the alts holds at 59 percent.

Bitcoin’s Climb Hits Hard But The Big Bags Haven’t Shown Up Yet 🖤🕷️

Bitcoin’s recovery is pumping hard lately 😈 but liquidity ain’t keeping up fr according to Darkfost’s latest tea. The coin has climbed 40% from July’s $58,500 low to touch near $82,000 in just two months yet spot demand feels kinda weak rn.

The Real Liquidity Problem 💸

Darkfost shows the 90-day Cumulative Volume Delta chilling in neutral territory 🤨 while futures buyers are straight owning the game. Stablecoin reserves on Binance tell the same story as they dropped almost $7 billion since October after hitting over $50 billion at the cycle peak 💀. The 90-day change in those reserves dipped to -17% during the dip but has clawed back to -1.6% with a $1.6 billion rebound this past month 👀. Darkfost sees this as a short-term win but not enough for real liquidity to flood back in 🔥. Bitcoin’s daily RSI at 67 plus those EMAs flipping upward and crossing the 200-day MA for the first time since November 2025 has the momentum looking bullish tho. A clean break above $80,000 could finally spark that decisive inflow 📈.

Whales Sitting Tight While Chaos Looms 🚀

Bitcoin whales barely touched their bags this week holding around 5.23 million BTC as macro events pile up 🌙. The next tests hit with US PPI and CPI prints where the latter could shift Fed rate bets the most. Current odds price in a 60% chance of a September hike even if economists expect no change. Senate vote on the CLARITY Act drops September 15 followed by the Fed decision plus Bank of Japan rate call to close the week. The bullish setup stays intact above $74,000 but $83,000 is the real next gate for a bigger explosion lmao.

Republicans refine the clarity act for defi before the september 15 vote 🖤🦇

Senate Republicans just dropped some fresh updates to the CLARITY Act ahead of that September 15 procedural vote 🗳️ tossing in new rules for non decentralized defi protocols and clarifying how credit unions can deal in crypto fr.

Fresh Defi Rules And Credit Union Plays 😈

The updated bill requires non decentralized defi protocols platforms that market themselves as decentralized without actually functioning that way to register with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission CFTC 🚀. That requirement mirrors Section 10301 of the Banking Committee portion of the bill although crypto developer Roman Storm questioned the phrasing on X asking how something billed as defi could be non decentralized. The new text also limits the defi provisions to spot or cash digital commodity transactions a change aimed at addressing concerns some Native American tribes had raised about blockchain based prediction markets. Credit unions meanwhile gained clearer authority to deal in crypto under the revised language 💸.

In another post she put the figure at more than 115 Democratic wins including a felony bar on fraudsters $150 million for the CFTC and crackdowns on platforms such as Binance.

Those changes come just days before the Senate is scheduled to vote on whether to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed 🕸️. The September 15 vote requires 60 senators leaving Republicans dependent on Democratic support.

Ethics Drama Still Holding Things Up 🔮

The latest changes do not alter the ethics section or the bills stablecoin yield provisions and that matters because ethics has been one of the biggest obstacles to Democratic support 💀. Yesterday Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong backed a yes vote and pointed out that lawmakers had resolved the issues his company previously considered must have changes. He also described the ethics negotiations as one of the last matters to settle. Democrats however have pushed for provisions requiring elected officials to divest relevant crypto interests or place them in blind trusts. The issue became more urgent after some legislators from that party called for scrutiny into President Donald Trumps crypto dealings from which he earned 1.2 billion including from his Official Trump TRUMP meme coin ✨. However Lummis has argued that failure to pass the bill would not be because of ethics but because Democrats refused to accept a bipartisan compromise. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent in a September 9 post on X also urged senators to keep negotiating and advance the legislation 📜. As things stand the revised text settles some disputes while leaving the most politically sensitive part of the negotiations unchanged and the upcoming vote will show whether those compromises are enough to get the bill moving lol 🦇.
