These Alts Are Dripping Away As Bitcoin Settles Under 82K: Weekend Watch 🦇🌙

Bitcoin kept swinging like crazy at the end of the trading week fr dipping under 80,000 for the first time in a whole month before it bounced right back up by roughly 2,000.
Most altcoins flipped red again with XRP sliding to 1.30 and ZEC crashing over 5 percent after getting rejected hard at 1,200. 😈

Bitcoin Finds Its Footing Near 81.5K 💀

After that wild drop on October 9 pushing BTC just over 80,000 the asset clawed back some ground and hit 83,000 over the weekend. It even touched 84,000 early Monday but got smacked down fast and fell to 81,000. The swings kept coming with a quick recovery to that same upper level on Tuesday before holding through Wednesday afternoon.

Then the September CPI numbers dropped showing inflation a bit hotter than expected. Bitcoin reacted with a sharp drop straight under 82,000. The next day PPI data confirmed inflation is sticking around and with other macro chaos like the KOSPI and Nikkei tanking BTC dove again. This time it slipped below 80,000 for a fresh monthly low 🖤.

It bounced back quick though jumping close to 83,000 on Friday before another rejection left it struggling around 81,500 while macro pressure keeps building. Its market cap sits at 1.630 trillion on CMC and dominance over alts dipped under 60 percent. 👻

Altcoins Taking Brutal Hits 🌙

Ethereum slipped 1 percent to 2,430 while BNB dropped a similar amount to 723. XRP is fighting at 1.31 after a 2.4 percent decline and coins like SOL HYPE DOGE LINK XMR plus ADA are all looking rough too.

The real pain hits with ZEC down 5.2 percent RAIN at minus 7.4 percent and TAO losing 5.5 percent. ZRO STRK and PYTH are leading the downside with double digit drops. On the bright side BTW TIA and LIT actually grabbed some gains anyway.

Total crypto market cap fell another 1 percent in the last day now sitting at 2.740 trillion. 🦇

XRP’s frenzy near $1.33 whispers of an even grander surge ahead 🦇🌹

XRP has been taking some serious hits rn, dipping below $1.30 on Thursday for the first time in forever. 🖤 Even though it bounced back a little bit, that weak vibe around the $1.33 zone still feels pretty discouraging fr.

Is XRP Forming a Major Bottom or Nah? 💀

EGRAG has stayed locked in on XRP’s long-term vibes, and this fresh take lines up just the same. Checking out the three-month chart, he pointed out three earlier bottom patterns that looked all over the place yet stayed choppy, messy, and super drawn out. 🌑 He thinks the current mess near $1.33 is starting to echo those old moves, tho he made it clear no bottom is locked in yet. 😈 The real tea is that big bottoms rarely come in as clean V-shapes. Instead they drag out with wild swings and fakeouts that wear everyone down before any real recovery kicks off. 🕸️ The $1.30 area caught eyes from other traders lately. One analyst spotted a solid demand zone between $1.30 and $1.34, while a push past $1.52 to $1.56 might open the road to $2.00. Still the latest rejection there put that whole idea on pause. 🔮 Some bigger holder moves are showing up around these spots too. Data shows the outflow gap between whales and regular folks on Binance blew up from October 7 to 13, even if it does not scream full-on accumulation just yet. 🦇

Double-Digit XRP Incoming? 🔪

EGRAG’s bigger picture pulls from the 21-, 50-, and 100-month moving averages plus old cycle fractals. If things play out again, he sees $3.67 as the key breakout spot. 💉 Obviously that 2025 high feels far off right now, but once it breaks he expects Fibonacci levels like $5.25, $6.33, and $8.28 to line up next. His ultimate macro target sits at $13.69. Given how XRP is struggling these levels still count as wild guesses more than sure things. For the moment the real fight stays pinned around $1.30, and spot volume has dried up hard with combined trading on big exchanges dropping by almost $2 billion since late August. 🌙

Taiwan Hexes Coinbase And Kalshi Weeks Before Local Vote 🕸️🦇

Taiwan’s regulators just slapped a hard block on Coinbase and Kalshi over shady election betting vibes, with Coinbase fans in the region locked out since October 14 already. 🌸 The whole thing dropped right before those local elections on November 28, the first big ones since President Lai Ching-te stepped in back in 2024. 🖤

Platform Access Gets Cut Before The November Poll 💀

A New Taipei court gave the green light for Taiwan’s comms folks and internet registry to shut down local entry to both sites, according to a report from October 15 that quoted the actual ruling. 👀 Some Coinbase users started hitting access errors as early as October 14. The Criminal Investigations Bureau pushed for the order because they think the platforms might be breaking the Public Officials Election and Recall Act, which bans running gambling for profit on election results. 😈 Their goal was protecting the vote integrity and stopping any overseas meddling, even if extra details stayed quiet.
Coinbase admitted they noticed the Taiwan access hiccups and started digging into it, while Kalshi straight up said they do not let any trading happen from there at all. Authorities skipped accusing either company of moving mainland China cash, tho they have separately flagged worries about Chinese funds sneaking in through underground channels to sway things. 🚫 The government is ramping up checks on shady money moves and underground gambling ahead of the November 28 vote, where locals will pick village chiefs, city councillors and mayors. 📉

Other Spots Turning Up Heat On Prediction Markets 🗳️

Taiwan is one of those places that straight up criminalizes election wagers, with a 2023 tweak to the Election Act that can hit bettors with up to six months behind bars while operators risk as long as five years. Polymarket has already faced the same block there too. 🔥 South Korean police opened cases against 26 Polymarket users and sent 18 to prosecutors over around $12.7 million in bets, tracing them via public blockchain data despite the non-custodial setup. Kalshi ran into its own drama in the States, suspending three political candidates back in April for trading on their own campaigns. 😱 New York filed a suit in July claiming illegal gambling without a license, and Baltimore followed with complaints in August over sport contracts. 👀 Overall this feels like a dark wave hitting prediction markets everywhere rn.

Saylor’s Bitcoin Bet Facing Heat From MSCI’s Index Rule Shifts? 😏🦇

MSCI just dropped some spicy new rules that could boot Michael Saylor’s Strategy right off those big global stock indexes 🖤 because they see it as a non-operating vibe now. They confirmed this week the company would get axed from its Global Investable Market Indexes.

Going After Those Non-Operating Companies 💀

This whole thing kicks in at the close of November 30 2026 during their November index review fr. The shift comes after MSCI floated excluding firms where digital asset bags hit 50% or more of total assets. Strategy straight up opposed that earlier idea too lmao. In their reply the BTC treasury crew argued these rules are basically targeting digital asset treasury plays under fresh wording. They also questioned how MSCI even defines non-operating companies since that term has zero footing in US GAAP or IFRS or any real legal setup. Strategy kept it real saying their Bitcoin ops totally count as an operating segment under US rules after chats with SEC staff 🔮.

Is The Exclusion Hit Really Overstated 🦇

They warned MSCI’s move is sneaking policy calls into index building which could wreck the neutral vibe investors expect. Strategy straight up asked them to scrap the whole proposal. The fresh rules hit companies acting like investment funds or passive vehicles already locked out of indexes. It starts with checking for solid operating assets and if that fails then five financial ratios kick in covering expenses cash flow asset value shifts and outside funding reliance. Fail at least four and you’re out 👻. MSCI added safeguards to stop constant index flips so current members gotta fail two years running before removal. A May 2026 test flagged Strategy Metaplanet and Yellow Cake for possible cuts. JPMorgan said exclusion might spark around 2.8 billion in outflows from MSTR but commentator Adrian Morris called that claim overstated 🌙. He thinks any forced selling hits trading flow at rebalances not some full market dump and MSTR has enough liquidity to soak it up without drama. This feels like a quick ripple not an existential threat to MSTR at all 🕸️.
