Pi Climbs 5% While Markets Crumble In The Wake Of That Key Pi Network Alert 🖤📈

The cryptocurrency market has dipped back into crimson after bitcoin faced rejection on Friday before sliding to a multi-week low yet some tokens are shining exceptions 🌑.
Pi Network’s native token stands out even after its recent woes. Surprisingly PI has climbed 5% over the past day following a key reminder from the core team 🕷️.

Core Team Drops Protocol Upgrade Alert 🖤

The core team shared on X that the blockchain has already started migrating to the next major protocol version 26. Just like earlier notices the message stressed how vital it is for Pi Validators to finish their upgrades by the August 11 cutoff or risk disconnection from the network 🔪.
Protocol version 26 ranks as one of the largest updates from the team and possibly the biggest since v20.2 which set the stage for smart contract building. This release focuses on boosting contract safety state management interoperability and cryptographic capabilities 🌙.

It arrives ahead of the final planned upgrade protocol version 27 expected sometime in late August or September 🦇.

The core team confirmed the August 11 deadline earlier this week which signals that protocol version 25 rolled out successfully even without an immediate official note at the time.

PI Surges Amid Market Dip 🕸️

Only a tiny share of recent Pi Network updates product features app redesigns or new developments from the past month have lifted the native token however the version 26 deadline from days ago plus last night’s reminder could be the outlier 💀.
PI soared right after the first announcement of the upcoming protocol version 26 and repeated the move over the last 24 hours. It is now up 5% daily sitting at $0.086 after testing $0.088 just hours earlier despite the wider market weakness led by BTC dropping to $62,400.

Pi Network (PI) Price on CoinGecko

Still the bigger picture for PI stays grim. The asset has fallen more than 97% from its all-time high back in February of last year while its market cap stays under $1 billion placing it as the 68th largest by that measure.

Clarity Act Drifts Into A Tense Weekend As Passage Odds Keep Crumbling 🦇🖤

The uncertainty swirling around that highly anticipated regulatory bill keeps building with fresh negotiations in Washington. New ethics proposals plus political rifts now threaten its odds of turning into law this year.
Prediction markets currently price the chances at just 31%-35% for passage in 2026, sliding down from those earlier 70% peaks. 🖤

Weekend Turns Into High-Stakes Waiting Game 🌙

Popular journalist Eleanor Terrett noted on X earlier today that this weekend will be a high-stakes waiting game for bill supporters as the White House considers an ethics counteroffer involving a state attorney general.
The proposal reportedly centers on one of the bill’s biggest remaining sticking points: whether state attorneys general should retain authority in enforcing certain ethics provisions involving federal officials.

Bipartisan negotiations between Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Arizona Democrat Ruben Gallego continue, as both believe the bill has to contain a stronger ethics package than the one proposed by the White House and two Senate Republicans at the end of July. Terrett cited three sources familiar with the matter, indicating that the initial offer did not receive approval from Tillis, Gallego, and other Democrats.

Instead, they believe state attorneys general should be able to sue the Department of Justice if it fails to enforce ethics laws against federal officials.
One of the issues with the White House’s proposal is that the ethics provisions would remain in force through January 2029, and there are few clues on what happens next. 🕸️

With the Senate scheduled to begin its August recess next week, experts and observers believe the bill has only a narrow window remaining this year, which is why the odds on prediction markets continue to dwindle. If lawmakers fail to move it forward before the break, the prospects are likely to deteriorate significantly as attention shifts toward the midterm elections. 🦇

Saylor Backs The Push For Clarity 💀

Most key figures in the cryptocurrency industry have expressed support for the bill over the past year or so. Michael Saylor, the Chairman of the world’s largest corporate holder of bitcoin, doubled down in the past 24 hours.
He believes that BTC will succeed with or without the bill, but added that America needs clarity for digital assets. 🔮

The note from Eleanor Terrett appears via this X post. 🥀

Will XRP Shatter Its Fourth Straight August Slump? 🕷️🌑

Will XRP Shatter Its Fourth Straight August Slump? 🕷️🌑

The broader crypto markets delivered some much-needed gains throughout July with Ripple’s cross-border token extending its impressive streak alive since 2020. 🖤
However the new month has arrived and the past four Augusts have not been bullish for XRP at all. Can this asset defy its painful August record or is another leg down coming soon?

Seven Wins In A Row 🌙

Before diving into August’s four-in-a-row red streak let’s examine XRP’s strongest monthly performance. Data from CryptoRank shows the cross-border token just matched its best run of monthly gains. July 2026 added only a 3% increase yet that still marks eight green Julys since 2014 out of thirteen total. April shares a similar record of positive months.

What makes July even more favorable for the altcoin is its consecutive streak of green closes. XRP closed its seventh July in a row positive stretching back to the 48% surge in July 2020. 🕸️

Other strong July performances arrived in 2023 with 47.6%, 2024 at 31.2% and 2025 posting 35%. The modest 3% this year stands as the lowest among prior green Julys due to the ongoing bear market global uncertainty inflation fears and raging wars.

Nevertheless Ripple’s coin still rebounded slightly from the June dump when it fell over 22%.

Four Red Augusts Incoming 💀

The past four editions of August finished red for XRP. In 2022 the asset dropped 13.6%. It tumbled harder in 2023 losing 26.6%. More modest declines followed with 9.17% in 2024 and 8.15% in 2025. 🔪

History reveals only four out of thirteen Augusts ended higher. Two delivered massive gains including a 52% surge in 2017 and a 60% rise in 2021 both during bull markets unlike the current environment. The median shows a 6.57% decline across prior Augusts contrasting the 6.91% July average.
XRP Monthly Returns on CryptoRank

DeFi plays remain the real dark allure amid these seasonal swings 🦇 while numbers like 3% or 26.6% remind us how volatile the game stays. 🌑

Cardano (ADA) Twisting Sell Pressure Into Silent Defi Stacks? 🕯️🖤

Cardano climbed 4% in the last 24 hours after those choppy vibes earlier this week. The asset rose from 0.164 straight above 0.17 with monthly gains now sitting at 12% 🖤.

Buyers Standing Firm 🕸️

Pseudonymous analyst The Boss noted on X that ADA could be shifting from frantic sell-offs into a steadier accumulation phase post the heavy drop. The view highlights higher lows forming lately instead of fresh breakdowns said. Buyers keep guarding the key demand area from 0.1064 to 0.1503 while a short-term uptrend line holds the recovery pattern alive. Compression below resistance signals the market awaits its next clear push rather than sliding further the analyst added 🌙.
Attention now turns to whether this base sparks wider gains. Sticking above support and preserving those higher lows would bolster the accumulation story and lift the overall setup 💀.
Whale moves are also rising alongside. Large holders boosted combined stacks to 25.6 billion tokens nearly 70% of supply at the highest mark since February 2023. Retail positions dropped which could lend support according to Santiment. Analyst Ali Martinez spotted whales grabbing 30 million ADA worth over 5 million bucks in the prior month. This fresh buying hints bigger players may eye another upswing 🦇.
Institutional interest stays steady too with data showing Cardano ETFs logging 16 straight months of inflows revealed.

Long View With a Twist 🌹

Some observers flag ADA past results as a caution with one pointing to dismal long-term returns where a 10000 investment at the all-time high five years ago now equals around 500 highlighted. The token plunged about 84% since Trump referenced it in March 2025 for a proposed US Strategic Crypto Reserve and sits down roughly 95% from its August 2021 peak.
Charles Hoskinson stays upbeat on the ecosystem anyway. He recently drew parallels to Anthropic in AI noting the slow steady path is proving effective with a focus on security and governance. Recent DeFi hiccups underscore how fast issues can ripple through 🕯️. Clear rules solid dev processes and a lasting roadmap matter most he believes. Despite earlier stumbles he feels happy with the current spot and eyes solid expansion in the coming 12 to 24 months 🦇.
