XRP ETF Cash Flows Revive Yet An Unsettling Snag Persists 🦇🌑

XRP ETF Cash Flows Revive Yet An Unsettling Snag Persists 🦇🌑

XRP funds bounce back after that brief red week 🖤 but the quiet stretches in between feel off. Spot exchange-traded funds tracking Ripple’s cross-border token took their first hit last week in over two months yet net inflows have returned. There is still an evident investment exodus that needs discussion since the financial vehicles had no reportable data for too many days.

The hidden issue 🔮

For roughly 2 months while spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs bled heavily with billions leaving both the XRP counterparts enjoyed investors’ attention by gathering fresh capital. In fact they set a 9-week green-only streak in which they attracted almost $200 million. This all changed during the second week of July when data from SoSoValue showed investors pulled out just over $7 million from the funds for the first time in over two months. Green is back on XRP’s street as the past week almost offset all the losses from the previous one. The net inflows for the 5-day trading period stand at $6.78 million. This means the cumulative total net inflow is back to its ATH levels of almost $1.5 billion.

Bitwise’s XRP ETF continues to increase the gap between itself and the first such fund to reach Wall Street with the former now holding almost $500 million in AUM while the latter sits below $470 million. Although the week as a whole stayed in the green all $6.78 million in net inflows came in just one day on July 16. The remaining 4 trading days saw no reportable action according to SoSoValue. Although the XRP ETFs have seen many such days in the past there were never 4 in the same week. Moreover 7 of the last 10 business days have seen net flows of $0.00. This is a rather concerning trend clearly showing interest and demand for the financial products have declined significantly 🌙. Perhaps a portion of the blame falls on the overall sluggish summer season in which trading volumes traditionally drop as investors wait for better times 🕸️. XRP’s sluggish price performance might also turn investors away since the asset failed to break out above the $1.10 resistance despite a few attempts. It remains down by 3% monthly with a market cap well under $70 billion 💀.

Bitcoin’s Path If The Fed Hikes Rates This July? 🦇🖤

The June CPI data just slid into view and now all eyes are locked on the Federal Reserve’s FOMC gathering at the end of July 🌙. Even though inflation eased a little there’s still chatter about a possible rate lift next meeting so the big question is how BTC might wiggle if that actually happens 🖤.

Macro storm clouds gathering 🕸️

Odds of a hike slipped after the June print fell to 3.5 percent but July oil prices are already climbing after the ceasefire fell apart. FedWatch data puts the chance of rates staying flat at 85 percent while a 25 basis point bump sits at just 15 percent. The softer reading locked in expectations that policymakers won’t switch gears yet a few voices like new Fed Chair Kevin Warsh and Dallas Fed President Lorie Logan keep sounding more hawkish.

Higher rates usually act like kryptonite for risk assets because money tightens up and safer yields look sweeter. We saw BTC tumble hard during the 2022 and 2023 tightening wave though today’s setup feels different.

Could BTC Take a Dark Plunge? 💀

A surprise hike would probably spark the sharpest moves since markets are priced for no change. A 25 or especially 50 basis point shock could send equities and crypto tumbling together. Still the longer view shows resilience if the economy stays sturdy enough to keep earnings and institutional flows alive. BTC has clawed back from macro scares before whenever core demand stayed firm.

Right now things feel delicate with inflation still above target and several officials leaning hawkish so July could deliver some wild swings if the Fed decides to surprise everyone.

Unveiling This Week’s Crypto Climbers and Sinkers as Bitcoin Chases $65K: Weekend Watch 🖤 🕸️

Unveiling This Week’s Crypto Climbers and Sinkers as Bitcoin Chases $65K: Weekend Watch 🖤 🕸️

Bitcoin is sneaking up this lazy weekend with a gentle push toward 65,000 after rebounding from 63,700 yesterday. 🦇 Most bigger alts have barely twitched in the last 24 hours so the spotlight shifts to their weekly glow where ZEC, CRO, LTC and ONDO are stealing the show. 🌑

Can BTC Snag 65K Again? 💀

Last weekend felt just as sleepy yet softly upbeat for BTC as it lingered near 64,000 for a full 48 hours even with fresh US-Iran drama heating up. The market finally noticed the rising tension Monday morning and dropped hard to 61,800. Softer than expected June CPI data dropped Tuesday and got a warm welcome pushing BTC past several thousand to hit 65,600 by Wednesday its loftiest mark in roughly three weeks. 🖤 It lost steam fast and tumbled back toward 62,000 Thursday and Friday. Bulls stepped in though and blocked any deeper fall letting BTC claw back to 64,000 yesterday before brushing almost 65,000 earlier today. It still sits just under that crucial short-term level.
Bitcoin market cap has climbed near 1.3 trillion on CG while dominance over alts has surged past 57 percent.

BCH, CC, TAO and AAVE also posted notable weekly drops.
Total crypto market cap has grown by around 60 billion since last Sunday and now tops 2.270 trillion on CG.

XRP's Held Its Spot in Crypto's Top 10 for Thirteen Straight Years, a Record No Altcoin Matches 🕸️🦇

XRP’s Held Its Spot in Crypto’s Top 10 for Thirteen Straight Years, a Record No Altcoin Matches 🕸️🦇

A recent report by CoinGecko found that Ripple’s cross-border token is the only cryptocurrency besides the market leader to remain among the largest 10 cryptocurrencies every year for a decade. This came despite the asset’s ups and downs some of which pushed it to new lows.

XRP Stays Strong in Top 10 💀

Before we delved deeper into the report we have a confession to make. It’s not really a new report. It actually came out over a month ago but we somehow missed it. Nevertheless we still think it’s a fun Sunday morning read so here we go. CoinGecko outlined that the cryptocurrency market has changed almost beyond recognition since 2014. Hundreds of projects entered and fell out of the spotlight as former industry heavyweights such as Peercoin Namecoin NXT Dash EOS and Litecoin all spent years among the top 10 elite before eventually falling out. This is not the case with Ripple’s XRP though. The report analyzed annual market-cap snapshots between 2014 and 2026 and found that XRP is the only cryptocurrency besides Bitcoin to remain inside the industry’s top 10 every single year. This streak spans 13 consecutive years and unless there’s a major collapse in 2026 is likely to close its 14th year soon.

The asset managed to remain in the top through the painful 2018 bear market the COVID-19 crash the Terra collapse the FTX bankruptcy and perhaps most impressively Ripple’s years-long battle with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. This was particularly threatening as XRP was delisted from countless exchanges after the SEC’s offensive began and it tumbled hard immediately. Meanwhile Ripple’s token recently celebrated a one-year anniversary since its all-time high of $3.65 was marked last July. However it has dumped by 70% since then.

Shifting Tides in Crypto 🖤

BTC and XRP remaining within the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market cap for about a decade is among the very few constants. Everything else the report said has changed to its core. For example Bitcoin’s market share accounted for roughly 87% in 2014. Now it’s under 57% on CoinGecko. Stablecoins have become a permanent fixture within the top 10 and 20 alts while exchange tokens like BNB have established themselves alongside traditional layer-1 networks. This year also marked another milestone when Hyperliquid’s HYPE became only the second DeFi project ever to enter the top 10 overtaking Dogecoin. ✨🌑🕸️🦇🕷️🌙
