Bitget Pushes THORChain to Freeze the Looted Addys 💀
The exchange confirmed straight up that 387.5 million landed in attacker wallets after scooping in some Zcash and Tron tokens too. Gracy Chen the CEO tagged THORChain directly and said decentralization ain’t no excuse for laundering known stolen cash lol and the whole scene is watching close. Funds from the heist started routing through THORChain swaps and MistTrack pointed out that nearly 1.2 billion from last year’s Bybit mess had already flowed the same way 🌙 So the question hanging is what duty a protocol owes when it processes dirty crypto on purpose. THORChain clapped back saying it’s just like Bitcoin or Ethereum and questioned what responsibility those chains would even have. Their tracker shows 2377 attacker wallets holding 378 million with 1497 of them already moving stuff through the network. Security queen Taylor Monahan jumped in and roasted the idea that screening equals full censorship. Back in May the validators slammed the brakes after a 10.7 million exploit and kept trading and withdrawals frozen for five whole weeks. Bitget threw out 5 percent bounties on recovered cash and thanked Circle plus Tether for freezing 318000 quick.
