The main coin wrapped up August with its first green close in this bear phase, pumping over 25% for the whole month even after dipping from 79k down to 77k on Monday from those US-Iran strikes kicking back up. It bounced quick back to 79k but got rejected Tuesday and slid under 76.5k by Wednesday before the bulls came in strong for a huge run to 82.4k, the highest since mid-May. Then that strong US jobs report on Friday triggered a big drop, with bitcoin slipping 3k as Fed rate hike odds soared, yet it still rebounded from 78.6k and settled around 80k for most of the weekend despite tons of bearish stuff piling up. Market cap’s sitting at 1.6 trillion on CMC with dominance easing to 59.1%.

Ethereum’s creeping back toward 2.5k after a 1.75% daily bump while BNB sits below 760 after tapping 770 yesterday, XRP holding 1.4 support strong and SOL chilling well over 100 again. HYPE, DOGE, RAIN, XMR, LINK and ADA all showing similar upside moves too. UNI jumped to 7 after a 10% lift, ZEC pushing close to 1.2k for the first time in almost a decade with that 17% surge, and Arbitrum’s token stole the spotlight by rocketing 42% to over 0.19. Total crypto market cap holding just over 2.7 trillion on CMC after a 0.8% uptick since yesterday.
