The first massive event that could shake crypto markets hit yesterday and it sucked for the industry big time with prices pulling back right away fr. Bitcoin slumped to a monthly low of 75000 🖤.
BTC Hit That Monthly Low 📉
Bitcoin’s wild volatility kicked off at the end of last week after the US CPI drop. Even tho the numbers lined up with what was expected the coin first fell from 77000 to 76000 then shot up outta nowhere to 79800. It got rejected there and crashed south back to start and all that chaos happened in under two hours 😵💫. The weekend stayed pretty chill with the asset just chilling sideways around 77000. It dipped Monday morning but climbed up later surging to 79500 in the afternoon 👀. More swings were coming Tuesday night when the senate was voting on the CLARITY Act cloture. Once the bill got rejected BTC went crazy dropping from 77000 to that monthly low of 75000 then bounced a bit to just under 76000 now. But tonight might get just as crazy since the fed is dropping its big interest rate call 🔮. BTC’s market cap fell to 1.520 trillion on CMC with dominance over alts rising to 59%.
Altcoins especially the ones hoping the bill would help are all deep in the red rn 💀.
XRP And Most Alts Crashed Hard 😈
Ripple’s token performed the worst today after getting rejected at 1.50 and sliding under 1.30 following another 8% drop 🌑. Ethereum fell to 2400 after a 3% slide just like SOL DOGE XMR and HYPE while LINK plunged 5% and so did ADA. XLM dived 10% down to 0.175. BTW and ZEC were rare greens tho 🕸️. The total crypto market cap dropped over 2.3% in a day per CMC and sits below 2.6 trillion now ✨.
