Eth’s July Run Was Truly Something Special, Can It Sustain The Momentum Into August? ๐Ÿฆ‡๐ŸŒ•

The summer months often drag in the crypto markets and recent weeks confirmed the chill. Yet Ethereum emerged as a rare sparkling star climbing roughly 20% toward its local summit ๐Ÿ–ค

ETH Delivered Strong July Surges ๐ŸŒ™

The second-largest crypto by market cap endured a rough close to 2025 and an equally rough opening to 2026. Pain kicked in right after the all-time high from last August when rejection triggered six straight red monthly closes with November at -22.38% January at -17.52% and February at -19.81% hitting hardest. A faint relief bounce in March and April brought around 7% each yet bears clawed back in May for an 11% slide while June turned brutal as ETH plunged 21.7%. July expectations soared for a comeback and it delivered from an early dip near $1,500 rocketing to $1,980 before settling near $1,900 for that 20% gain which outpaced BTCโ€™s modest 9% climb.

August Outlook Holds Mixed Portents ๐Ÿ•ธ๏ธ

Warning signs linger for ETHโ€™s near-term path yet August produced hefty wins across years with the 2017 blast near 93% the 2020 jump of 25.32% and the 2021 surge of 35.62% standing tall. Gains in August 2025 also hit double digits breaking prior records. On the flip side six other Augusts since 2016 closed red with 2018โ€™s bearish drop near 35% 2019โ€™s 21.31% slip and 2024โ€™s 22.21% decline among the worst ๐Ÿฆ‡
