X user Giannis Andreou noted the upgrade is already live on Pi Testnet with mainnet activation eyed for October 16 and node operators must upgrade by tomorrow October 13. “The update improves transaction-data handling and lets developers upgrade groups of smart contracts together. The project teamed up with Open Standard behind the new stablecoin which could bring OUSD rewards and extra utility to the ecosystem down the line. Pi News pointed out “The interesting part isn’t just the partnership it’s the potential utility that can come from it. If Pi can connect OUSD with rewards payments and ecosystem applications this could become a meaningful infrastructure layer for Pioneers. Waiting to see the implementation details.”

Right now the altcoin sits just north of 0.08 a massive 97% crash from its all-time high near 3 at the start of 2025. Traders might hope this upgrade triggers a rebound but past updates haven’t always pumped the price and delays are kinda the norm here 👀. X user Crypto With Gopal spotted a potential double bottom on the daily chart with support holding around 0.075-0.085 after the long downtrend. “Buyers are attempting to stabilize price but a bullish reversal is not confirmed yet. A breakout above 0.10-0.12 could strengthen recovery momentum. Losing 0.075 would weaken the setup” he noted 🚀.
