Qubic Fires Back at Hack Whispers Blaming Those Brittle Seeds 🕸️🖤

Qubic just dropped confirmation that an attacker drained 1,404 wallets and made off with around 2.94 trillion QU between October 17 and 18. The network traced it straight to weak wallet seed generation rather than any flaw in their protocol.

Weak Wallet Seeds 💀

The update revealed some seeds got created with barely any randomness at all, leaving them wide open on iPhones, iPads via any browser before October 18, on Macs running Safari before that cutoff, or inside the Qubic iOS app prior to July 2025. Their validators, called Computors, coordinated a full halt at tick 85,371,949 to freeze further moves on the stolen stash. With txns paused, 87.1% of those drained funds sit frozen right on the network. The remaining 12.9% hit MEXC, where the account got locked within roughly an hour. Exchanges everywhere got the alert and suspended QUBIC deposits plus withdrawals. The team patched the seed issue in version 4.26.4 so no fresh weak seeds can spawn under the fixed system. Next moves depend on the Computor quorum deciding resolution under network rules. Core devs are already mapping affected identities and prepping options while a community poll runs on Discord for feedback. Affected users should report everything to local police or cybercrime units with wallet ID, amount lost, and the explorer tx link.

September Nightmare 😱

This Qubic mess follows a brutal September for crypto overall where PeckShield logged 55 major hacks racking up nearly $766.5 million in losses, a 462% jump from August’s $136.3 million. Bitget’s breach alone hit around $387 million while Liquid Network lost roughly $320 million, though they clawed back $285 million later. Bitget’s CEO Gracy Chen explained an attacker messed with backend data to dodge checks and the exchange intends to cover users via its protection fund holding over $464 million. On Liquid a supposed white-hat pulled about 4,000 BTC from the federation wallet promising a return after patches, yet questions linger on whether it was truly a legit researcher.

Cardano’s DeFi Whispers on ADA’s Next Moves as It Drops 12% Weekly 🕸️🌹

Cardano’s native crypto just bounced hard at October’s start, hitting a 5-month high around $0.28 before the bears swooped back in and dragged it under $0.22 rn, down double digits this week fr.

What’s the Vibe Now? 🌙

X user Sssebi recently noted that ADA has been stuck below the 200-day MA for over a year, hinting it might finally bounce and flip the trend bullish 💀✨ If it holds, we could see a crazy ADA pump, they added 🖤 Just hours later Sssebi revealed ADA closed the daily candle above that 200 MA, but stressed a big bounce now needs volume to kick in 📈 Crypto With Gopal and Trend Rider also chimed in, calling out a falling wedge after the downtrend with buyers defending $0.21 hard, plus a breakout above $0.23 resistance could push toward $0.25, showing ADA bulls are stirring again 🍄🦇 Trend Rider added that ADA has held a price floor that only dipped briefly to $0.14 this summer, so a monthly close above $0.23 would confirm the floor reclaimed and the breakdown was just a trap, while rejection turns support into resistance 🌸 ADA’s exchange netflow backs the bullish take too, with outflows beating inflows the past weeks as holders move coins off CEXes for self-custody, easing sell pressure instantly. ADA Exchange Netflow

The Bearish Theory Lurking? 🕷️

About a week ago Ali Martinez pointed out reasons ADA might face a big correction, starting with whales dumping over 110 million ADA in 5 days, flooding the market and risking panic sells if demand doesn’t step up. Network activity cooled too, with daily active addresses dropping over 40%, signaling weaker participation while whales exit. He flagged rising channel support near $0.24 back then, warning a breakdown (which hit) could drop to the channel floor at $0.21. Most recently Crypto Million called ADA’s moves weak and regretted ditching their short position lol.

JPMorgan’s JPM Coin Slips Onto Ethereum Enabling Dual-Network Transfers 🕸️🖤

JPMorgan just dropped their JPM Coin deposit token onto Ethereum so institutions can slide money onchain even easier rn 🖤
This moves past Base where it first popped off back in November 2025.
JPM Coin aka JPMD is basically your bank deposits tokenized on a public chain fr.

JPM Coin Ain’t No Stablecoin Vibes 😈

The token lets big clients zap onchain payments with way more speed and zero drama.
It now vibes with peer to peer transfers across the whole EVM scene including Ethereum and Base 💀
Kinda feels like part of their bigger push to drag traditional finance straight onto blockchains 👀
Emma Landriault over at Kinexys Labs spilled some tea saying we are seeing major Wall Street and crypto convergence rn and institutions are teaming up hard with web3 players 🌑

The giant has been stacking its Ethereum presence hard beyond just JPMD.
They launched their first tokenized money market fund on the chain in December 2025 and dropped a second one by May 2026 🔥
Big distinction tho JPM Coin stays a deposit token not some crypto or stablecoin.
Your funds never leave the regulated banking walls even when moving onchain 🕸️
On their site they straight up said the same safeguards you already trust still apply.

Canton Network Expansion Tease 🦇

Back in January they announced JPMD is heading to the Canton Network too which is all about privacy for financial markets 🔮
Institutions could issue transfer and redeem these tokens almost instantly inside Canton.
Phased rollout expected across 2026.

Bitcoin’s Bold Breakout and Retest Quiet the Market Jitters 🖤 🔮

Crypto analyst Sykodelic dropped a post on X early Monday saying Bitcoin’s daily chart shows a breakout and retest of its previous high plus the 50 EMA. 😈 Jittery traders should just relax for now fr. The post lands while Black Monday crash calls are floating around online yet US stock futures point higher instead.

Bitcoin Chart Breakout Meets Black Monday Fears 💀

In the October 19 post Sykodelic wrote that the timeline has been in the depths of despair even as Bitcoin’s daily chart appeared to show a breakout and retest of the previous high and 50 EMA. The trader called the bearish mood emotional and irrational and added there are definitely times to be cautious of price action but at this time with this move this is not one of them. Ash Crypto struck a similar note around the same time if people are calling for a Black Monday it probably won’t happen. Markets rarely move the way everyone expects the account added pointing out that fear is a poor basis for decisions. Hours into the supposed crash the Kobeissi Letter pointed to Nasdaq 100 futures up nearly 1% and an S&P 500 set to add $350 billion in market cap at the open. This aged well it wrote. Meanwhile at the time of writing Bitcoin was recovering toward $83,000 after also gaining 1% in 24 hours although it was down by the same percentage across seven days with its share of the total crypto market value at over 58% in a market worth about $2.83 trillion per CoinGecko. Ethereum around $2,400 is down 4.6% since last Monday and other large altcoins have fared worse including XRP which at $1.31 has lost almost 7% in seven days while Solana near $106 has dropped by more than 5% in the last week. Monero stands out with an 11% gain in the same period. ✨

Recent Losses Explain the Nervous Mood 🖤

Sykodelic’s optimism comes after a difficult week for crypto. Bitcoin briefly fell from around $81,600 to $80,750 during a weekend flash crash before recovering while ETH and AI-linked stock perpetuals also dropped and rebounded. Inflation data had already weighed on prices with September consumer inflation coming in slightly above expectations and producer prices posted their largest monthly increase in more than four years. Bitcoin briefly slipped below $80,000 its first dip under that level in about a month before recovering. The Kobeissi Letter in an October 15 analysis described a stealth bear market beneath the S&P 500’s headline performance claiming 84% of its constituents were at least 10% below their highs and that just 10 stocks accounted for 70% of the index’s gain since March 30.
